This presentation introduces students to the scientific method and focuses on the following essential question, “How does scientific thought change as new information is collected?”
This presentation details each of the steps of the scientific method. Students are tasked with differentiating observations vs. inferences. Historic discoveries through the scientific method are highlighted. Students are introduced to the percent error formula.
The presentation is estimated to take approximately 25 minutes of class time. Guided notes are included for students to fill in while listening to and following along with the presentation. Practice questions are included to help reinforce concepts learned in this presentation.
