Aquatic Biomes Unit



This no-prep unit addresses the following essential question, “What are the characteristics of aquatic biomes?” Students research ecological organization, abiotic and biotic factors within specific biomes. The following freshwater and saltwater biomes are focused on throughout this unit: rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, wetlands, open ocean (including the zones within the open ocean), coral reefs and estuaries.
