This environmental policy presentation focuses on how sustainability is affected by economics.

Students are introduced to the following concepts and vocabulary terms: economics, centrally planned economy, free market economy, mixed economy, supply and demand, cost-benefit analysis, internal and external costs, endless resources, ecological economics, environmental economics, non-market values, market values, market failure, and ecolabels.

The presentation is estimated to take approximately 20 minutes of class time. Guided notes are included for students to fill in while listening to and following along with the presentation.
