This presentation focuses on how we characterize the groundwater found on planet Earth.

 

Students learn about the distinguishing characteristics and features that make up the groundwater found on our planet, including springs, the hydrologic (water) cycle, evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff, zone of saturation, zone of aeration, water table, wells, porosity, permeability, capillarity, and aquifers.

 

The presentation is estimated to take approximately 25 minutes of class time. Guided notes are included for students to fill in while listening to and following along with the presentation.
