International Environmental Policy and Approaches Presentation & Notes



This presentation focuses on how governments work with each other and citizens to form sound environmental policy.


Students are introduced to the following concepts and vocabulary terms: transboundary problems, international treaties, The United Nations (U.N), The European Union (EU), The World Trade Organization (WTO), World Bank, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), command-and-control approach, tax breaks, subsidies, green taxes, cap-and-trade, local incentives, risk assessment, and lobbying.


The presentation is estimated to take approximately 25 minutes of class time. Guided notes are included for students to fill in while listening to and following along with the presentation.
