Description

This presentation focuses on how rivers and streams impact Earth’s surface.

Students learn about the distinguishing characteristics and features that make up streams, including watersheds, drainage divides and basins, tributaries, floodplains, deltas, meanders, levees and drainage patterns. Diagrams, formulas and thorough explanations are included to differentiate between erosion and deposition on a stream due to changes in velocity.

The presentation is estimated to take approximately 25 minutes of class time. Guided notes are included for students to fill in while listening to and following along with the presentation.
