Description

During this no-prep activity, students write a creative story about their imaginary journey to the center of the Earth, while focusing on the different layers of our magnificent planet. In the past, I have started this lesson by reading students Faith McNulty’s “How to Dig a Hole to the Other Side of the Earth.”

This activity has been used with students of all ages, especially with gifted students of the younger years.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kalyn Godziejewski (TPT Seller) says, “Used in 9th grade Earth Science class. This is the one topic that my students typically don’t find engaging or interesting but it is so important to paving the way for our topics afterwards such as plate tectonics, earthquakes, etc. This helped to beef up my this section of my curriculum.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Camille M. says, “Awesome and helpful!”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stewart’s Learning Lab (TPT Seller) says, “Great product! Worked great with my kids!”
