Planets Virtual Field Trip
Students take a “Virtual” Field Trip to the eight planets in our solar system. This resource is an extremely creative approach to educating students about the terrestrial and jovian planets that make up our solar system. Each planet has at least one slide designated to it full of important and fun facts and pictures. Additionally, National Geographic informative videos are embedded into each of the planet’s particular slides as additional opportunities for learning. During their journey, students make galactic stops to replenish all of their “essentials” while in space, including food, water, oxygen and rest. They are encouraged to take notes throughout the field trip and then define vocabulary terms at the end.
