Terrestrial biomes are areas of land with similarities in their climate, communities of plants and animals. Organisms in each biome show adaptations to their environments. This unit focuses on the following locations: tropical rainforest, tropical dry forest, savanna, desert, temperate rainforest, temperate forest, temperate grassland, chaparral, boreal forest, tundra, polar ice, and mountains.
